মৰমৰ দেউতা Dear Father

LOGLINE

Separated by distance, a father watches helplessly as his son’s aggression tears his family apart, until a brutal assault and a police investigation expose secrets that challenge everything they believed about love, guilt, and protection.

SYNOPSIS

Pradip Barua, a school headmaster stationed in a remote hill town of Arunachal Pradesh, struggles to maintain a sense of normalcy while his family - his wife, daughter, and troubled son Partha - live in a small Assamese town miles away. The emotional distance between Pradip and his home slowly widens as Partha spirals into aggression, alcoholism, and destructive behaviour, tormenting his mother and sister in his father's absence.

What begins as everyday domestic distress soon turns darker when Partha violently attacks a local electrician, and pushing the already fragile family to the edge. Pradip and his wife are consumed by helplessness and guilt, questioning where they went wrong.

But when Partha is later found brutally assaulted and hospitalized, a police investigation begins unravelling connections to local anti-social elements. Just as the family brace for answers, the story takes an unexpected turn - revealing hidden truths, inner conflicts, and a father's desperate attempt to protect his family from their own blood.
